Dita Von Teese was born on September 28, 1972 in Rochester, MI. She is an American burlesque artist, model and actress. Dita is well known for her fascination with 1940s cinema and classic retro style. This began at a young age and was fostered by her mother, who would buy clothes for her daughter to dress up in. Her mother was a fan of old, Golden-era Hollywood films, and it was from her that Von Teese developed a fascination with the actresses of that day, especially Betty Grable, an actress that she frequently cites as her favorite.

She was classically trained as a ballet dancer from an early age, and danced solo at age thirteen for a local ballet company. Though she originally wanted to be a ballerina, Von Teese states that "By 15 I was as good as I’d ever be". She was later to incorporate this element into her burlesque shows, where she frequently goes en pointe.

The family relocated from Michigan to Orange County, California when her father’s job moved. Von Teese attended University High School in Irvine.

As a teenager, Von Teese’s mother took her to buy her first bra, made from plain white cotton, and gave her a plastic egg containing a pair of wrinkly, flesh-colored tights. Von Teese says she was disappointed as she had been hoping to receive beautiful lacy garments and stockings, of the type she had glimpsed in her father’s Playboy magazines. This fueled her passion for lingerie. She worked in a lingerie store as a salesgirl when she was fifteen, and eventually as a buyer. Von Teese has been fond of wearing elaborate lingerie such as corsets and basques with fully fashioned stockings ever since.

Von Teese began her career in a local strip club when she was eighteen. Disappointed with the lack of originality in all the other strippers’ acts, Von Teese created a vintage-inspired outfit, with beehive hairstyle and elbow-length gloves coupled with a basque and seamed stockings, piquing the interest of the clientele.

In recent years, the fashion world has come to accept Von Teese and her retro look, and she has appeared on a number of best-dressed lists. Von Teese frequents the front row of fashion shows, particularly Christian Dior and Marc Jacobs, labels she is often seen wearing.

She has also done various catwalk work. During Los Angeles Fashion Week, Spring 2004, she modeled for former-club kid Richie Rich’s fashion label, Heatherette. In 2005 she appeared in the Autumn/Winter Ready-to-Wear show for Giambattista Valli, a former designer for Ungaro, in Paris. In the 2006 Milan Fashion Week, Von Teese was on the runway, opening for the Moschino diffusion label, Moschino Cheap & Chic, autumn/winter 2006/7 show. In 2007, she appeared twice in the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show during the Paris Fashion Week. Additionally, she has starred in several ad campaigns. She appeared in Vivienne Westwood’s spring/summer 2005 collection adverts and became the face of Australian clothing range Wheels and Dollbaby for their 2006/7 Spring/Summer advertising campaign. Currently, she is a spokesmodel for MAC Cosmetics. Von Teese has appeared in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle, and international issues of nearly every fashion magazine. She has also campaigned on behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), and appeared in their ads. Most recently she has designed a new lingerie range with Wonderbra.

In spite of this, Von Teese states that she never uses a stylist. "The one time I hired a stylist, they picked up a pair of my 1940s shoes and said, "These would look really cute with jeans." I immediately said, ‘You’re out of here.’" She does her own make-up, and dyes her naturally blonde hair black at home.

Will Ferrell

Book Will Ferrell

After his graduation, he started working as a sportscaster on a weekly cable show, but then later found his interests in acting and stand-up comedy. He then enrolled in some acting classes. In only one short year of training, he was invited to join The Groundlings. The Groundlings are a small comedy improve group. Working with The Groundlings quickly lead to his discovery by the world famous comedy show, Saturday Night Live or SNL. From then on, he was an unknown comedian making his way to the top. After a few years of working with SNL, he was offered to be a main character in the movie A Night At The Roxbury.

In 1995 Will became a feature cast member at Saturday Night Live during the show’s rapid recasting. He was declared quite possibly the worst cast member ever during his first season. However, his talents of impersonations and range of characters shot him forward to making him arguably the greatest SNL cast member ever. While Ferrell has portrayed many unforgettable characters; among his most popular recurring personas include: his send-up of President George W. Bush, musical middle school teacher Marty Culp with wife Bobbi (played by Ana Gasteyer), Professor Klarvin the overly amorous "lover" and husband to Virginia (played by Rachel Dratch), and Spartan Spirit cheerleader Craig. Among his many impressions are Attorney General Janet Reno, who ended her tenure with the Clinton administration by doing the twist with Will live on "Saturday Night;" Alex Trebek; "Inside the Actors Studio" host James Lipton; lounge singer Robert Goulet and the late great Chicago Cubs sportscaster, Harry Caray. Ferrell’s latest films are the new Kevin Smith film "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back" and the Ben Stiller comedy "Zoolander." In 1998, Ferrell brought his swinging SNL character to the big screen in "A Night at the Roxbury" which he co-wrote with fellow cast member Chris Kattan and Steve Koren. He has also appeared in SNL Studios features "The Ladies’ Man" and "Superstar." In 1997, Ferrell made his feature film debut as "Mustaffa" in the hit comedy "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery." He returned in the blockbuster sequel "The Spy Who Shagged Me."

Sarah Silverman

Book Sarah Silverman

Sarah Silverman is funny. Sarah Silverman is also controversial, becuase she is hardcore, and holds nothing back, making fun of anyone and everyone.

At age 22, after being discovered while doing stand-up, the Jew from Massachusetts signed on with "Saturday Night Live" as a writer and performer. However, her hardcore style got her fired.

Sarah Silverman returned to performing stand-up, while appearing in episodes of "Seinfeld" (1996-1997), "Star Trek: Voyager" (1996-1997), "The Naked Truth" (1997-1998) and a recurring stint on "The Larry Sanders Show" (1996-1998).

Silverman has also appeared in many films. In 2005, it was in "The Aristocrats" documentary produced by Penn Jillette, the gregarious half of comedy team Penn & Teller.

Sarah Silverman is available for your event, but, make sure, your audience can handle her off-color routine.
