Kate Moss, indisputably one of the most successful and controversial models of the ’90s, was earning an average income of around $10,000 per day. Moss was discovered at JFK airport in 1988 as she prepared to board a flight home to London with her father by Sarah Doukas, founder of Storm model agency. After a series of shoots for teenage magazines, it was Harper’s Bazaar that finally launched her into the international arena.
She became the face of Calvin Klein at age 18. In addition to Calvin Klein ads, Moss has also appeared in ads for Burberry, Cerruti 1881, Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, L’Oreal, and Yves Saint Laurent. She ushered in the waif look in 1993, leading to much speculation over her weight combined with a highly publicized campaign for Calvin Klein, including posing nude in ads for its perfume brand, Obsession. On September 29, 2002, Kate became a mother with the birth of daughter Lila Grace. The father is Kate’s boyfriend Jefferson Hack. During her pregnancy, she posed nude for a near life-size portrait called "Naked Portrait 2002," in which Christie’s auction house sold it for approximately $6.5 million.
In April 2006, Nikon signed Moss to be the new face of their new Coolpix S6 digital camera. The photo shoot features her in a state of undress, with nothing but the camera.
