Bob Ballard
A legendary explorer, experienced leader, best-selling author and former television show host, Dr. Bob Ballard has led a life as exciting and intriguing as his deep-sea explorations. Ballard has conducted more than 100 deep-sea expeditions, and his other discoveries include the German battleship Bismarck, 11 warships from the lost fleet of Guadalcanal and the luxury liner Lusitania.
Dr. Ballard is founder and head of the Institute for Exploration in Mystic, Connecticut where he specializes in deep-sea archeology. Dr. Ballard a National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence, and has published more than a dozen National Geographic articles, 50 scientific articles and 16 books.
