Actress and model, Halle Berry is known for her beauty. She has served as the face of Revlon cosmetics for many years and was recently named the new face of Versace.
In late 2001, Berry played the role of ‘Leticia Musgrove’ in the film Monster’s Ball, earning her an Academy Award for Best Actress. In 2003, she starred in Gothika, which was her first role as the protagonist. Her next lead role was in Catwoman.
She has recently finished filming Perfect Stranger and is set to star in Things We Lost in the Fire next. Berry is one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood, making $14 million each for Gothika and Catwoman.
In the 1980s, Berry moved to Chicago in an attempt to pursue a modeling and acting career. One of her first acting projects was "Chicago Force" a TV series for a local cable station. In 1989, she landed the role of ‘Emily Franklin’ in the TV series "Living Dolls" on ABC.
Her breakthrough feature film role was in "Jungle Fever" and her first co-starring role was in "Strictly Business". She was also in the Flintstones movie, Race the Sun, and the TV adaptation of Queen: The Story of an American Family. Berry was also in X-Men and it’s sequels.
Prior to her acting career, Halle entered and won several beauty contests. Some of these include Miss Teen All-American, Miss Ohio USA, Miss USA and Miss World.
